BACKGROUND

ÁNIMO Theatre Company was founded in 2016 and is composed of actors and musicians from Ventura County. Our nonprofit organization produces plays that showcase local talent and celebrate the diversity of our community. Last year, ÁNIMO Theatre Company staged Los Braceros de Buena Vista at CSUCI and was part of Ventura County’s 150 years of celebration.

Following up the successful production of Los Braceros de Buena Vista, ÁNIMO partnered with CSUCI to produce Mariachi Girl - a play written Roxanne Schroeder-Arce and directed by Miguel Orozco, Artistic Director and Founder of ÁNIMO Theatre Company. Set up as a theatrical production class for CSUCI’s Theatre and Performance Studies program, Mariachi Girl features CSUCI students as actors and stage crew.
