INLAKECH CULTURAL CENTER
Since 1973, the Inlakech Cultural Arts Center has existed as a cultural healing art form of Lucha Inc. under the leadership of the artistic director & founder Javier Gomez; to empower, educate, train and develop change makers, trail blazers, who in turn will inspire and give hope to others. Thousands of Latino/a youth and the elderly have been enriched with a cultural arts education; by learning mariachi music, folklórico dance, “el canto Mexicano” (chorale/voice lessons, based on regional Mexican music), and by engaging in many visual and performing arts events promoting the rich heritage of Mexico; throughout Ventura County. ¿Porque?/Why? Porque, “La Cultura Cura-Culture Cures.”
